I became interested in photography when I was around 16 years old, when a co-worker and I decided to buy a couple of Pentax 35mm. cameras....and see if we could figure out how to use them. (Did I mention that my friend and I....ran a roller coaster at an amusement park at the time?) This should provide you with some insight.) I don't believe in what I call "the pretty smoke and mirrors" approach to marketing myself and my images. Using flowery language and attempting to portray myself as a "photographer to the stars and the wealthy".....isn't what I'm about. I shoot with my own style, developed over 30 years....with countless brides....learning as I go. I'm still learning. That's the fun of this occupation. Every day...it's different. Everyday...different people, different environment...different everything. It's great.
I don't travel far. 100% of my work happens here in Key West, in the Keys....or in the Everglades. That's it. I ONLY shoot weddings. Nothing else. I really do shoot over 500 weddings each and every year. As far as I know, I shoot more weddings than anyone in the Southeast United States. (I must be doing something right!)
I obtain all of my bookings by word of mouth and this website. There are a few examples of my work here as well. I am , in my opinion, truly "freelance"...in that I don't follow anyone else's style, or whatever style happens to be in fashion at the time. I shoot my weddings....my way. You either like my images...or you don't. (People seem to like it.) If your names are "Ken and Barbie"....you probably don't want me shooting for you. If you envision wedding images that look exactly like your mom and dad's wedding images....you definitely won't want me. If, however, you want wedding images that are personal, unique, unusual...and artistic....call me. If you're an affectionate, unusual couple....call me. It's that simple.
I work strictly by advanced booking only. You can speak with me whenever you would like provided I'm not working. I will answer your questions very, very honestly. Most important: If I don't think that I'm a good "fit" for you...I'll tell you right away. No smoke, no mirrors. Just fact.
It's like the clothing store man says: "If YOU don't look good....I don't look good"!
